First of all, I will explain a little about this music. It is a Hindu prayer to the Goddess Shakti. I am, frankly, sitting here writing this blog listening to the chant on my phone. I also am humbled that the Goddess choses to come at this moment of time.
First, Shakti is power and the divine force, so this is a most powerful chant to call in Her qualities on this particular day. She is the Divine Force called forth to devour those manifestations in our lives that would block our good and to restore balance. She is power and empowerment, the manifestation of the Divine Feminine creative power in the universe, the cosmic existence as well as liberation from what binds us. She is the Divine Mother Goddess from all creation manifests and exists.
So, that this comes to me this very day is so important and is a most welcome sign of what I need most in my life. It is most important for all women in our current world. As a woman who is creating that in her life that embodies the fullness of being Woman Empowered, Shakti is the most important presence.
When forces come at us that harm our psyche and threaten to recreate our value, worthiness, beauty into the exact opposites, Shakti, when called upon, breaks through, devours that “evil,” and brings us power to stand strong against those forces and say, “No! I am beauty! I am worthy! I am a most excellent creature! I choose to stand on these words today! I choose, with the power of Shakti, to stand tall and beautiful and empowered!”
I am not here to male bash today at all. I honor the Sacred Masculine in its manifestations. I call, however, the Divine Feminine to be strong and true. I call on all women to know that your beauty and value is not dependent upon the patriarchal point of view and values. Your beauty and value is yours alone to embrace, build, honor, and hold sacred. It is in your sensual nature that you come alive and where the Kundalini, Shakti, energy thrives. You are a beautiful creation. Remember that always!
And now, I’m going to listen to this chant in full. Know this day – I set my intention to learn the chant calling on Shakti to devour those forces that would make me, and you, feel less than and work with me, and you, to build and embrace our feminine Divine energy – Shakti Energy!
